Pathway at the Plantation Estate at Kollacumby

Decipher bird songs while relaxing at the Plantation Estate at Kollacumby, nestled in the green valleys of the Nilgiris.

Away from the hustle and bustle of the city is the Plantation Estate at Kollacumby where you will find nature at its best. The rolling hills of the Nilgiris, or the Blue Mountains, are draped in a green carpet with acres and acres of tea plantations. The pleasant climate all year round only adds to the region’s popularity among sun-beaten folks, especially from the plains. Apart from the picture perfect valleys studded with plantations, there is also a wild side of Nilgiris. Its forests are teeming with life and are home to a variety of marvelous flora and fauna.

Spread over 120 acres, the Plantation Estate at Kollacumby is a blissful haven for a relaxing holiday. The property combines the concept of an eco-friendly stay with luxurious living to make you feel pampered. It is built using naturally sourced materials and bordered by verdant landscapes of the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve. The plantation on which the resort is located grows tea, coffee, and spices, such as pepper and cloves. You can open your eyes to aroma-filled mornings and go to bed embracing the spicy breeze coming from surrounding plantation. Let us remind you that the aroma of spices is not just in the air. It’s in the food served here too! The resort’s kitchen dishes out delicious meals to keep you satiated throughout your stay.

Accommodation at the Plantation Estate at Kollacumby includes three cottages: the Estate House, the Hornbill House, and the Pepper House. The Estate House is the main bungalow at the estate and exudes an old-world charm. It offers 360-degree views of the verdant valleys and the tea plantation. It has well-furnished rooms, including two bedrooms called the Mosaic and Estate with bathrooms, custom-made furniture, and cozy interiors, and large balconies. Those who prefer enjoying the beautiful valley from the balcony can choose the Estate. However, go for the Mosaic if you want to get a glimpse of the waterfall too. The Hornbill House has two guest bedrooms, called the Jackfruit and the Waterfall, and a common living and lounge area. While the former is located on the first floor, the latter is on the ground floor. Both rooms offer excellent views of the waterfall as well as valley. The Pepper House has three rooms — Studio, Panorama, and Family. All these rooms have attached bathrooms and offer stunning views of the valley. The Family and Panorama have a common entrance and living area while the Studio is a standalone unit with a private veranda. Imagine spending your holidays in a well-equipped resort where natural beauty meets modern living. Heavenly, isn’t it?
