Spread over nine acres of lush forestland interspersed with bountiful plantations, this Jungle Lodge in Palmajua is in close proximity to Singalila National Park. Located at an altitude of 7,250 ft Palmajua is a small village tucked away into a serene and stunning landscape. The last stretch of road leading to the property is recommended for four-wheel drive vehicles.
This Jungle Lodge in Palmajua is a family-owned enterprise and provides stunning views of the Kanchenjunga peaks as well as the surrounding forest region. Featuring eco-friendly materials and minimalist décor, this lodge is sure to be memorable. The chirping of birds is the only sound to be heard for miles and miles around making this region a hotspot for trekkers and tourists who love to take the path less traveled.
The food at this Jungle Lodge in Palmajua is cooked fresh with spices, vegetables, and herbs sourced from the in-house organic garden. The lawns of the property invite you to take a stroll or you can choose to entertain yourself with the selection of indoor and outdoor games on offer. The local villagers can give you a glimpse of their music and dance on request. The lodge can also make arrangements for nature walking, bird watching, fishing, mountain biking, bonfires, and barbecues if you want to experience any of these. Local sightseeing trips, as well as day trips, can also be organized.
The rooms feature traditional Nepalese décor with quaint furniture and plush furnishings. Some of the rooms also come with fireplaces which come in handy during chilly winter nights. Currently, there are four comfortable rooms with attached bath in the main building while the annex has three rooms with a common bathroom.
