You have to cross Khardungla, the highest motorable road in the world at over 18,000 feet before you reach the valley.

The tents have a sloping roof in keeping with the local architecture and enabling them to blend seamlessly with houses in Sumur village. Made of canvas and other locally sourced materials, the structures leave no carbon footprints.

The valley offers you plenty to see and explore. Spend the day at the 150-year-old Samstanling Monastery. On the way, you will see beautiful colored fabric buntings waving in the breeze, which are an integral part of the Buddhist faith. You can also drive over to the hot springs of Panamic and on the way you can also stop over at the beautiful Lhuyan Lake. The region is known for the unique double-humped Bactrian camels and you can ride one at the famous sand dunes of Deskit. Another major attraction for all tourists is driving along the highest motorable road of the world, Khardungla.
