The meadows and creeks beckon you to spend time in contemplation. Cherrapunjee is also locally known as Sohra.

Things to do
Watching the clouds move around is enough to keep you mesmerized for a long, long time at this resort in the Khasi heartland. Besides this, you can go for long walks through the Syiem forest which is just a stone’s throw away from the property. The area is a hotspot for moths and butterflies providing ample opportunities to spot many varied species of these insects every day. Cherrapunjee is also a great place for bird watching and there are believed to be at least 153 species of them in the vicinity. So, be sure to pack your binoculars and bird watching reference guide.
The local market is held every eight days and is a place where people from different villages in the area congregate to trade and stock up on supplies. From fresh produce to groceries and fashionable apparel, you can find everything at these markets. Nohkalikai, Kynrem, Wah-kaba, and Seven Sisters are some of the waterfalls that are close to the property. Thangkharang Park and Mawsmai Cave are some other attractions.
