Things to do

Apart from exploring the coffee plantation and going on nature walks, there are quite a few natural attractions and adventure activities that await you. Iruppu Falls is considered a sacred spot in south Kodagu and is nestled in the Brahmagiri Hills. There is also a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva near the falls which are about 60 feet high.

You can also opt for one of the jungle safaris conducted by the forest department into Nagarhole Wildlife Sanctuary which is home to tigers, elephants, and bisons among others. Trekking up Brahmagiri Hills is something you might want to look at doing.

If you visit this homestay between June and September, you could also get the opportunity to go white water rafting down the KKR river. The rapids here are graded from four to five and safety standards are adhered to.

Kuruva Island is located on the tributaries of River Kabini and is great for picnics. The island is not inhabited by humans but there are plenty of birds, herbs, and orchids for you to look at. The serene and secluded atmosphere is enough to leave you rejuvenated and refreshed.
