In the heart of the old French town in Pondicherry, this refurbished 19th-century Heritage Villa at Surcouf Street is a spectacular blend of history with modern day amenities and comforts. Designed by two renowned architects, this boutique property was once a homely residence.
Exuding exclusivity with only six suites, this heritage villa at Surcouf Street offers individually decorated rooms in the Franco-Tamil style. Reclaimed wood, cane, teak, glass, and metal all rub shoulders in the décor. The tiles seen at the entrance have been handmade by artisans in remote Tamil Nadu villages.
Each of the suites features 14 feet high ceilings with the living areas subtly demarcated from the bedrooms. The décor in the rooms at this colonial heritage villa at Surcouf Street in Puducherry is a mix of antiques, local artifacts, and contemporary amenities. All rooms come with a balcony, terrace, or patio, hypoallergenic pillows, reading lamps, pool towels, bathrobes, complimentary private bar, rain showers, and premium bath products. The spacious granite bathrooms have white marble and stucco walls.

- The government of India Goods & Services Taxes are applicable effective 1 July 2017 onwards. Any differences in applicable taxes will be refunded / collected at the time of check in.

- Check-in is at 14.00 hrs while check-out is at 12.00 hrs.
- Requests for early check-in / late check-out are subject to availability against no guarantee OR may be on minimum half day charges.
- All bills to be settled on check-out.
- Type of bed and view from the room are subject to availability at the time of arrival only.
- All arrivals prior to 07:00 hrs will be charged from the previous evening.
- In the absence of arrival timings/a contact cell phone number, all confirmed reservations will be deemed guaranteed up to 15:00 hrs and may be released thereafter.
- To guarantee a reservation, 100% advance payment to be paid 30 days prior to the arrival.
- In order to hold the reservation on confirmed basis, advance payment by a cheque or cash deposit or by NEFT transfer is required. The hotel reserves the right to cancel any reservations for which advance payment has not been received within the stipulated time.
- To guarantee a reservation between 23 rd Dec 17 till 01st Jan 18, 100% advance payment to be paid 60 days prior to the arrival.
- Service tax is subject to change.
- Every place is unique and the specificity of the hotel does not allow children between 01 to 12 years.
Cancellation policy
- Full refund available for cancellations received 30 days prior to the date of arrival.
- One night retention charges applicable if cancelled before 15 days prior to the date of arrival and the balance could be refunded or adjusted with future bookings.
- In the event of (no-show) or failure to cancel 15 days prior to the arrival date, there will be no refund guaranteed.
- No refund for cancellations on bookings from 23rd Dec to 01st Jan.
- For group bookings, no advance will be refunded/adjusted and full retention will be charged in case of a cancellation received within 60 days before the time of check-in.

Places to cover when in Pondicherry include Aurobindo Ashram with its unique structure and focus on integral yoga. In spite of its seaside location, Pondicherry doesn’t have much of a beach. To compensate, go on a stroll down Goubert Avenue, better known as Beach Road. You can walk without fear of being mowed down by vehicles from 6 pm to 7.30 am as traffic is banned here during this time.
Pondicherry Museum, Puducherry Science Centre and Planetarium, and Jawahar Toy Museum are some of the other attractions in the vicinity. There is also an abundance of cafes and pubs serving exotic food and offering various experiences for the offbeat traveler. You can also shop for colourful clothing and ethnic wear at some of the upscale boutiques found in the town.

Chennai International Airport, which is located at a distance of about 150 km, is the closest to Pondicherry while Bangalore Airport (also known as Kempegowda International Airport) is located about 370 km away.
When travelling by train, Bangalore railway station is 313 km away while Chennai railway station at 150 km is the nearest rail hub. Villupuram railway station is at a distance of 35 km from Pondicherry. You can choose one of these stations while booking your rail tickets and then drive down to Pondicherry from there. There is a railway station in Pondicherry also with trains to cities like New Delhi, Chennai, Tirupati, Mangalore, and Bangalore.
As for road travel, Pondicherry is well-connected to some of the major cities and towns like Bangalore (316 km), Chennai (150 km), Coimbatore (380 km), and Erode (280 km). When arriving by road from Bangalore, you can travel on NH 48, NH77, and NH 32 to get to Pondicherry. Hosur, Krishnagiri, Chengam, Chittoor, Ranipet, and Tindivannam are some of the smaller towns with road connectivity to Pondicherry.
