Spread across 22 acres in a pristine valley, the number of cottages at this amazing Forest Resort Stay in Lakkidi are restricted to a minimum to maintain a forest retreat elegance. It houses 8 wooden and 13 brick cottages. Each of the accommodations is cozily tucked away into the greenery providing breathtaking views around theses abodes of tranquility. The plush interiors in dark wood are a kaleidoscope of wood carving techniques. The wooden seating on the veranda reminiscent of a bygone era of local architecture is comfortable well as opulent. Wooden paneling on the walls in the 7 wooden cottages is the quintessential mark of ethnic accommodation in Kerala. Apart from the secluded honeymoon villa and 4 independent cottages, all the other accommodations have 2 or 3 rooms with a common veranda and roof. Each of the rooms is well-appointed with comforting and luxurious amenities.
The food at the multi-cuisine restaurant is extremely flavorful and satisfies even the most demanding of palates. Set out on a natural walk that is rejuvenating and refreshing treating you with crisp sceneries from the terrain. The flora and fauna of Western Ghats will impress every scrutinizing traveler. Trekking here is a popular activity amongst thrill-seekers. The plethora of birds on this stretch of Nilgiris biosphere will leave every bird watcher awestruck.
Ayurvedic services can be arranged on prior booking to recharge your body and mind the traditional way. The conference cum recreation hall can play venue to corporate as well as family events.
The Resort arranges sightseeing trips to popular Wayanad attractions. Take a guided safari through the heart of the dense wild flora and fauna in Muthanga or Thoppetti wildlife sanctuaries for a one-on-one with species such as elephants, deer, tigers, monkeys, and numerous birds and butterflies. A tranquil boat ride through Pookkotte Lakeor a laidback cruise in a catamaran through the Banasura Dam reservoir, the largest earth dam in India, constructed across the tributary of the Kabini River, are best bets for unwinding.

Calicut is the nearest airport and this Resorts is nearly 62 km (appx 1.5 hrs) away.
From Calicut city, head towards Thamarasseri on NH766. Continue on NH 766 until you reach Lakkidi. After crossing Lakkidi viewpoint on NH 766, turn right towards the Oriental School. Drive for about 6 km (appx 10 mins) on the same road to reach this Forest Resort.

Situated in the beautiful hills of the rainforest at Lakkidi, 17 km from Kalpetta town in Wayanad, this rustic resort is exactly what you are looking for if you are the adventurous type and a must for all nature lovers.
The approach road is via an off-road terrain of around 2 to 3 km and is nothing short of a fun-filled roller coaster ride. What is sure to strike you is the lack of manicured lawns or manmade landscaping at this resort. The views that greet you are totally natural and untouched. Situated on 22 acres of natural beauty with 21 cottage, each of which is built in the traditional style of Kerala architecture.
The tinkling of the stream running by the cottages is music to the ears along with the humming of the birds and insects. Forest trails, small rapids, and huge rocks with little pathways carved in to reach the cottages dot the resort. The cottages are a short distance from the reception area and are accessed through steep walkways. Well, you are living in a forest, so there is no intercom facility. Instead, you have a natural pond with clear water from the spring.
Authentic Kerala cuisine and an extremely friendly staff enhance the experience. There is an indoor recreation room with a few games like carom and table tennis as well as a small play area for kids.
