The Sangam, which is the confluence of the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, as well as the site of the historic Kumbh Mela held once every 12 years, is also a short distance from here.
Although in the heart of the city, this Cosy Homestay in Allahabad is a tranquil garden retreat of its own as it is surrounded by mango trees with a goldfish pool near the entrance. Close to a century old, this ancestral home has a rooftop garden and patios where one can relax during the evenings. The property has a well-stocked library should you wish to curl up with a great book. The fireplace in the lounge is an ideal place to catch up with fellow travelers on winter evenings. One can even have a musical jam session in the lounge area where you can find guitars, while the kids enjoy the swing in the garden.
Every morning, you are served a traditional Indian home-style breakfast with ingredients sourced from the property’s organic farms. After enjoying the sumptuous cuisine at the oak table in the dining hall, you can set out to explore Allahabad Fort and Khusro Bagh.
